The journey continues with an introduction to traditional herbs and plants, learning how they are used for healing, protection, and wellness in African medicine. This respectful and educational experience offers a meaningful cultural exchange, deeper understanding, and a powerful connection to Africa’s spiritual heritage. Travelers will visit Cedi Beads, a traditional bead-making center where travelers learn how recycled glass is transformed into beautiful handmade beads. Visitors watch the full process, explore the cultural meaning of beads in Ghanaian life, and can create or purchase unique beads (jewelry) directly from the artisans. The fresh fruit market at Akuse Junction is a vibrant roadside stop where travelers experience the colors, flavors, and energy of local trade. Visitors can see a wide variety of seasonal fruits such as pineapple, mango, watermelon, banana, and coconut freshly harvested from nearby farms. It’s a great place to interact with friendly local sellers, learn about tropical fruits grown in the area, taste fresh produce, and enjoy an authentic slice of everyday Ghanaian life.
